Meridian was started in 1996 by beekeepers wishing to keep up-to-date and to encourage existing beekeepers to join local associations, thus taking advantage of all the benefits that membership can bring.  Meridian operates a telephone hotline which answers queries from beginners and experienced beekeepers alike.

All are welcome and we aim to keep our meetings friendly and helpful.  The Association runs its own shop providing discount for members and the Association apiaries are available to members to site bees should they need to.  This means anyone unable to keep bees at their own home can now take up the craft.
